A Fish-Eye View
of Putah Creek:
Milling by the canyon's creek, the students await their teacher's instructions. Surprisingly, they aren't given many, and are instead encouraged to make their own investigations about the ecosystem they find themselves in this afternoon. The students are set free to explore the ecosystem with only these few guidelines set by their teacher: "First,
we want to talk about what we will be doing today. You will be exploring
the area with your partner, and you will have some interesting things
with you. I want you to think about information you might collect and
how you might collect that information. There is not a right or a wrong
way. We are pretty much going to leave it up to you to decide."
